Three year ago, My sister visited me. She came from Thailand. I talk with her before one week. I asked her about what would you like to go in San francisco. She said Shopping and the famous place in San francisco include Golden Bridge also. When she came in San francisco. I went there together and I told her that this is the first time of me also. She laugh at me and asked about what going on with you because I stay here three years ago. I said I don't know and we walked cross the bridge together. That day was so lucky because the weather was sunny.

Golden Gate Bridge History

The Golden Gate Bridge had the longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed in 1937, and has become an internationally organized symbol of San Francisco. The bridge connects the city of San Francisco on northern to Marin Country. Although the idea of a bridge spanning the Golden Gate was not new, the proposal that eventually took root was made in a 1916 article by former engineering student James Wilkins.

Design

Irving Morrow, a relatively unknown residential architect, designed the overall shape of the bridge towers, the lighting scheme, and Art Deco elements such as the streetlights, railing, and walkways. The famous International Orange color was originally used as a sealant for the bridge. Senior engineer Charles Alton Ellis, collaborating remotely with famed bridge designer Leon Moisseiff, was the Principal engineer of the project.

Construction

The project cost more than 35 million. Construction began on 5 January 1933.Strauss remained head of the project, overseeing day-to-day construction and making some groundbreaking contributions. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati.he had placed a brick from his alma master's demolished McMicken Hall in the south anchorage before the concrete was poured. He innovated the use of movable safety netting beneath the construction site, which saved the lives of many otherwise-unprotected steelworkers.The project was finished by April 1937, $1.3 million under budget.

Opening festivities

The bridge festivities opening celebration began on 27 May 1937 and lasted for one week.The day before vehicle traffic was allowed, 200,000 people crossed by foot and roller skate. On opening day. Mayer Angelo Rossi and other officials rode the ferry to Marin, then crossed the bridge in a motorcade past three ceremonial "barriers", the last a blockade of beauty queen who required Joseph Strauss to present the bridge to the Highway District before allowing him to pass.

America's Class

America's Class

In the present, most people would like to be rich people because they can do everything that they want. There are three social classes in America. There are upper class, middle class and lower middle class.

Upper class or rich people have lots of money. We know these people from newspapers or news. People of this class are supposed to be highly educated, good salaried people whose work is largely self-directed. They can do everything that they want. Middle class people are highly educated and are good salaried also. They can spend money for a good education for children and have a nice car and live in a big house also. Lower middle class people have to work hard for the cost of living. They can't spend money for luxury stuff.

Every country has social classes also. I think lots of people want to be in the upper middle class because they want to live in a big house and have lot of money to spend. I think everybody can but they have to work hard and have some luck too.

Amazing grace is a beautiful song. We can hear this song from the christian and from the movie. Grace Baptist church exists for the purpose of helping people find from God, helping people follow god, and helping people feel loved.

John Newton wrote a song that told the story of his life. Despite the powerful message of "Amazing Grace," Newton's religious beliefs initially lacked conviction; his youth was marked by religious confusion and lack of moral self-control and discipline

When, I hear Amazing grace song. I feel about hopeful loving and warming. It make me smile when i hear that song all the time.

Last year, I hear about filming movie in the Castro stress. The name of the movie is Milk. The movie was talking about gay man , his name Harvey Bernard Milk.

He was born in New York city and he moved to San Francisco in 1972. He opened a camera store at Castro stress. Which is neighborhood that had a mass of gays and lesbians.

He was compelled to run for city supervisor in 1973, though he encountered resistance from the existing gay political establishment. His campaign was compared to theater; out spoken, and outrageous
